In spite of ageing you still find plenty of spirit, willpower and idealism in the association that has always attached great weight to improving equality among hearing and deaf people.
The key issues are accessibility, the labour market, Sign Language and interpreting service and the key words are equal rights in society, a dignified life and broadness.
During the past 10 years another key issue has entered the association – ensuring that not one deaf person is lost along the way re the development of Cochlear Implant-operations.
The Danish deaf history is long and interesting and DDA has taken on an ongoing active part in shaping this history.
